Soapbox Saturday - Loopdeelou!

Hey everybody!  Today is Soapbox Saturday and I hope you'll indulge me for a minute, because I want to tell you about something I've been working on a lot lately.  First of all, let me introduce you to my little sister.  Here she is.  She's gorgeous, fun, smart, and my new business partner.  She and I are launching a small hair accessory business called "Loopdeelou."

Our first big event is the "What a Woman Wants Show" here in Utah (April 16-17).  We've been making a bazillion headbands and a really fun display (that I'll show you next week).  We'll make our products available online shortly.  I'll keep you posted.  But for now, these pictures are a small sampler.

We are using a lot of vintage supplies and most of our headbands are soft, stretchy ones so you can wear them normally (as shown) or like a flapper band (if you're super hip and can pull that one off).

So, do you live in Utah and want free tickets to the "What a Woman Wants" Expo?  Be one of the first five people to comment and I'll send you a couple of free tickets.  Okay?

Have a great day!

I Love, love, love your headbands -- and the other cool projects you have on this site! I just bought supplies last night to try and make a felt headband and it's still just a bunch of little pieces..I would really LOVE to just purchase one of yours!!! Thanks for the wonderful inspiration :)

I can't make it to Utah, but am wondering if you'll be selling these beauties on etsy or somewhere else on the www.

I am new to your blog and I just want to say thanks for all the boy projects!! I find so many girl projects on blogs but that's a problem when you only have a little man!
I am from Utah too, I didn't know you were. Sometimes it's such a small world in blogville.

They're gorgeous! I don't think I could make it from the English countryside to Utah, but I hope it goes well!
