Sunshine Sunday - firstborn, flowers, and Fridays

My little Rex turned 3 this past week.  It's a little hard for me to believe.  It's amazing how much having a baby changes your life.  He has helped me laugh harder, appreciate more, acquire more patience, and feel more deeply.  We made some chocolate mustache suckers for his birthday.  I think he liked them.  What can I say, I'm a sucker for him.

A really sweet friend gave us flowers this week.  They were so beautiful.  I haven't had flowers in a really long time.  They make me smile.

Friday night we always go out as a family.  This past Friday we packed a picnic and found the world's coolest park.  We just kind of fell upon it.  Even I was anxious to finish my dinner so I could play.  Good times.

And because it wouldn't be a real family photo session without it, here's a scowl for you.

What were you thankful for this week?

  1. My little man also turned three this past week and we went away on a family vacation. We had an amazing time and seeing him growing up before my eyes is so incredible. We also went to a park and because he was 3 now he decided he could try all of the things he was a hesitant to do before. We also rode on Thomas the Train and all three of my kiddos had a blast. So thankful for family time.

LOVE the mustache pops. Too funny.

  2. My baby turned one this past week. I just can't get over how big he is getting and at the same time, I just love it! I just keep thinking about how fun Christmas will be this year, how much I am going to love two interacting little boys... and I can't wait!

My sister came in town for the celebrations... I miss her something terrible when she's gone, so I was so happy to have her here!

  8. Hi! Just wondering where you got the mold for the mustache sucker. My son is a Mario fan and I think he would love those for his 4th bday.
