Sunshine Sunday - my husband, Saturdays, and Wienerschnitzel

My husband has been pulling a whole lot of weight lately and I'm so thankful for him.  He works long hours and then comes home to a crazy home out of order and an often unshowered wife.  Then he starts picking up all the pieces.  I've done my fair share of whining about this morning sickness, but he hasn't really complained at all.

Both boys love Saturdays because they have daddy around all day.  Me too.  The longer we're married, the more he continues to impress me.  I am really lucky.

On a random note, sometimes when we go out as a family we'll head to Wienerschnitzel.  It's not a place I ever remember going as a kid, but our boys love it.  The place is usually empty, so we let the boys express themselves as they please.  So, here is their "Ode to Wienerschnitzel."  Pretty sure it'll give you a laugh.

Thanks for stopping by.

  2. Maybe it is my "little boy" sense of humor, but I think it is funny that he dances saying wiener over and over again before saying the whole word! They can dance!

  8. Totally read "My husband has been pulling a whole lot of weight lately..." as:
"My husband has been PUTTING on a whole lot of weight lately..."

    Your version is better!

    1. Ha! My husband has only lost weight since we've been married. I guess that tells you how poor of a cook I am :)

  9. Your boys are so cute. I love the dance moves, especially the booty shake. My boys are 8 and 10 and this sure makes me miss when they were little. They too loved Saturdays with Daddy, and called them Dadderdays because they got to have Daddy for the whole day. Enjoy these precious times! Thanks for sharing.

  14. I had to google "Wienerschnitzel" - of course there are none close to me. No surprise there, I'm gonna cry now, I have no reason to shake my booty. Ok that made me smile, I crack myself up.

  15. Love it! I have two boys and one awesome husband too. I feel that pride too!

On another note, where did you get those awesome houndstooth curtains? Did you blog them and I missed it?

    1. I never blogged about them, so you didn't miss it. It was fabric I bought at a local store that I found really well-priced. The store never carries the same fabric again, though, so that's not very helpful. If you're local, it's Home Fabrics. They won't have the same one, but they often have great fabrics and their prices are awesome.
