So, honestly I don't have a lot to show today.  This week has been busy.  I started painting the baby's room a couple of weeks ago, but I only have one wall to show for it!  It's taking 2 coats of Kilz and then the top coat of white.  Ugh.

And yes, if you're looking at the blanket, we do have a name picked out for our little one.  It's actually a name I've had picked out for years.  My mom made the blanket...

...and she made this sweet flannel one, too.  I'm in love with it.

My dad has started working on the board and batten in the bathroom, I have to paint the walls, fill all the nail holes in the board and batten, and then caulk it all.  There's still a lot to do there.  However, it's functional now, which is awesome.

There are lights.  The shower door is on.  The boys won't use their own bathtub now that they see ours is bigger than theirs.

And I have one vanity done, one to go.  (Excuse all the dark cell phone pics.)

So we're still truckin' around here, but it feels very slow.

Do any of you remember that show where the girl could stop time by joining her pointer fingers together?  I'm kind of wishing I could do that for a few days just to catch up on things.  Does anyone know how to do that?  Drop me a line.

I hope you're all having a great week.  See you tomorrow.  Thanks for stopping by.

  3. I know an Elsa! Such a lovely name. Loooove seeing how the bathroom is coming along and love that you are keeping it real by showing how long it can really take to reno something instead of the insta-bathrooms we see on tv.

  10. I remember that show. It was called Out of This World and her name was Evie. I used to try that all the time to see if maybe *this* time I could freeze time. Sadly, it never worked. :)

  11. Wonderful choice for a name! We have a Miss E, too! Oh, and you two are so smart for doing your master bath renovation before that little bundle gets here. We were brave (crazy) and tore apart our bathroom a few weeks after our youngest was born. That was enough to test any relationship :) We are stronger for it now, thankfully and have a beautiful bathroom to show for it! Your bathroom choices look very similar to what we chose so that makes me want to do a little happy dance. You have such great taste throughout the rest of your home! Enjoy getting your to-do list done!

  12. Ohh, I like your little girl's name! :) It looks so sweet written out on her blanket :) This girl is going to be so loved!

Your bathroom looks great! I was also amused by the way you took the photo ;)

I don't know how you're getting all that you've been getting done!! Our little girl is arriving in less than 3 months and I have sooo much to do too. Let me know if you ever figure out that time-standing-still thing!!!

  13. I know you said you bought your tile on amazon- could you post a link or send it to me? We are trying to find tile for our bathroom shower and floor that's more affordable in the grey tones as well! Yours looks great and I love the baby name!! erinladybug at yahoo dot com

  14. I met an Elsa on my mission. She was from El Salvador, made the best tortillas, and had the best laugh. Nothing but good name association with that one. I'm so excited for you.

  15. A quick question on the Sillhouette...How is the sketching pen thing different from a regular printer?

    1. Good question. There are some things it can do that I can't with my printer. I can't feed in paper bags. Some of the sketch pens are more opaque ink, so I can write a cool bright pink on a dark colored paper and they have glitter sketch pens that are pretty cool because they give you an effect you can't mimic on a printer.

Other than that, your printer can do the rest. They are fun, but probably not a necessity :) I hope that helps!
