I wanted to squeeze in one last idea for our CHRISTmas week. A couple of years ago I made these ornaments of the Savior that hang on our tree. A couple of you asked about them, so I thought I'd share them with you today.
My mom found these inexpensive little frames in packs of six and I spraypainted them silver to match our tree. I found the little pictures of Christ HERE. They are beautiful and they are all different.
I had to trim the pictures down a bit to get them to fit. Then I hot glued some ribbon to the back so I could hang them up.
This year Rex helped me put up all the ornaments. He loved hanging up the pictures of Jesus. It gave me another opportunity to tell him more about why we celebrate Christmas. Our tree is now a nice visual reminder to me of what is the most important - not only in this holiday season, but in everyday life as well.
Well, this concludes our week of CHRISTmas ideas. I hope you've enjoyed it and I hope you've found a few ideas to use in your own families.
Before you go you have to watch this tiny little clip. I absolutely love it....especially because I have little boys and especially because children are so precious.
Merry Christmas.

Those are so pretty! I love that idea. Those pictures of Christ are precious. So lovely. Thanks for sharing!

That is really sweet. I don't have a tree up this year because my little guy is a monster, but maybe I could just hang them on the wall...

I LOVE the idea of framing the pictures of Christ--so smart!
ReplyDeleteHi...This is my first time reading your blog, and I am so happy I stumbled across it--if for no other reason than that sweet video. Thank you for sharing it! I have two little boys (which must explain why it made me cry for five minutes! :) ) Thanks a lot and Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteI am going to make these for next year and make a set for grandparents with our kids pics in them. Where did you get the frames? I am sure I can find them at Michael's or something, just didn't know if you found a screaming deal somewhere.
ReplyDeleteThanks!!
The frames were from Wal-mart, but it was when they were clearing them out a couple of years ago so they were super inexpensive. I would try there or Michael's. Good luck!
