Wake Up Wednesday

We interupt our Blogger Blooper week for Wake Up Wednesday today.  Last week's challenge was to gather Change for Change.  Thank you to all of you who decided to join in.  Thank you also to those of you who are collecting change for other great causes.  I love the idea that by small and simple means great things can happen.

It's so easy to think that what you have doesn't matter or to assume that you can't make a real difference, but it's simply not true.  Think of the things that have made an impact in your life.  I bet a lot of them were small and simple....a kind word, a thoughtful gesture, a little decision.

I'm sending a jar with my husband to work, too.  It will let others have a chance to participate.

This week's challenge it so do something nice for someone that bugs you.  I know, it sounds funny.  I think most of us probably have someone that kind of gets to us at times.  Well, it's time to "kill them with kindness" as they say.  I know this is a great way to change your heart because I've experienced it before.  Maybe you could write a kind note.  Maybe you could drop off a treat.  Maybe you could find out what he or she needs.  I think this will be a cool one.

I hope you're having a great week.  Thanks for reading.  See you tomorrow with another fun blooper.

  1. I have my jar, with change inside, but I have yet to decorate it. That will be my activity after we get back from the reptile show today. Eek!

Someone that bugs me? Ugh. This is going to be a tough one. I have one person in particular that bugs me, mainly because she is extremely condescending. Thanks for the challenge. I hope I can do it!

  4. This is going to be a good one, I already have several people in mind. When someone is driving me crazy, I just remind myself that it is easy to smile and be kind. Excellent idea for this week!

  5. Have you read the book "Christmas Jars"? My family started a jar a few years ago and it's now a tradition. Every one empties their loose change every day and around Thanksgiving we decide where it should go. We leave it on the porch and never let them know where it came from. LOVE IT!!

As for someone that bugs me.....I did her nails for her, with a smile on my face.

  6. We do the Change for Change every month for a pastor in Mexico. Our entire church participates and we usually end up sending them a check for almost $200.

Someone that bugs me?? Hmmm...could be interesting.

  7. I love this!

As a like-minded crafter I thought you'd get a kick out of the new DIY Front Door Wreath I made today.

  8. What a great project. And it's truly challenging to do a kind act for someone who rubs you the wrong way. That's a powerful challenge and I will go think about that :)

I just discovered your blog. It's really lovely! I'll be following you!

    Blessings,
    This Good Life
