The last Wake Up Wednesday challenge was to set a goal for the New Year. Last year my goal was to stretch outside of myself. This year my word is GIVE. I'll tell you more about this as the New Year starts. I have some ideas to add to Wake Up Wednesdays and I think it's going to be cool. Sorry for the vagueness. I'll explain soon.
This week's challenge to to give a gift to someone you wouldn't normally give one to. We all have our family lists of people to give to, but wouldn't it be neat to surprise someone else with a gift? It could be a cashier at your favorite store. It could be someone from work. It could be an elderly neighbor. The point is to surprise someone who might not know you care. It doesn't have to by pricey. It could be something homemade and simple or even a thoughtful card.

ReplyDeleteIve been following her for quite some time and I love her "Shine Project" posts.
ReplyDeleteI would love to win this for my former college roommate's mother Debbie Forrest. Debbie always had inspirational words for us whenever we felt down about our academic, social, or spiritual lives. Her motto was "don't shrink, SHINE!" Debbie was also voted Mother of the Year in 2006 and even went to Washington DC to get the award. She runs her own nonprofit now in Arizona. I would love to track Debbie down and give her this necklace and let her know how she's influenced my life.
