Wake Up Wednesday

Last week's challenge was to donate $1 to give clean water to children who don't have any.

I donated the proceeds of my big cartel shop to the cause for the week and pitched in as well.  It felt really good to be able to help.  And a huge THANK YOU to those of you who went over and donated.  It's not too late if you'd still like to pitch in.  You can read more and donate HERE.

This week's challenge is to teach a child about the country you live in.  I realize that not all of my readers live in the US, but today is our Independence day.  I think it's important for all of us to recognize what we've been given and to teach our children about it.  I want today to be about our freedom and how we received it - not just about fireworks and sparklers.

I'm going to do our mommy school about it today.  Hopefully the boys will understand a little more about the sacrifices that have been made so that we can enjoy our freedom.  If you have any links or ideas on how to teach children about patriotism, please leave them in the comment section so we can all enjoy.

Thanks for reading.
