Halloween Costumes Recap

This year we did mostly store bought costumes.  I've been too busy and you can buy a better Darth Vader costume than I can make.  The kids wanted to dress together, which I always love.  Rex was really set on Star Wars this year, so here you have it.

Rex went as Darth Vader.  Baden was Luke Skywalker.  Elsa was a tiny Princess Leia.  Rex and Elsa's costume were ordered through Amazon.  Elsa's needed a little altering, but it worked out.

I couldn't help but laugh every time I saw her in this wig....

...though I'm pretty sure this is how she felt about it.

Baden was most excited about the light saber.  He swung that baby around a lot and I'm so glad he never injured anyone.  I made his outfit, pretty much following Dana's idea HERE, except I used her beach robe pattern for the top.

And Rex was really happy with his store bought Vader costume.  Homemade isn't as cool to him as it used to be.  (sniff, sniff)

Well, I hope you all had a fun Halloween!  I can't believe it's November!  And guess what.  This month I'm bringing back Refashionista for the third year.  I have some great bloggers lined up to help out.  I can't wait.  It'll start mid-November.

See you soon.  Thanks for stopping by.

  1. So cute. I love themed costumes. My kids were Darth Vader, a pretty witch and a bumble bee. I've yet to come up with a theme that they all agree on. Hopefully one of these years. Most of the time my kids costumes come from yard sales or hand me downs. Sometimes it's easier that way. Your kids are so cute. Love your blog.

  5. Oh man, this made me smile!! Too too cute. I have a suggestion for next year, how about The Chipmunks? I wanted my kids to do it but they're ages are far apart, so it's a hard sell. But it just might for work for you :)
