Sunshine Sunday - milestones

We've hit quite a few milestones in the last month around here and I am thankful for each one of them.

Rex is fully pottytrained.  He's even riding the potty train all through the night.  I'm so proud of him (and grateful I'm only changing half as many diapers now).  Below: Mr. Independent is sporting some strap-on baby sunglasses and snacking on some toast with Nutella.  No, he's not flipping you off intentionally.

Baden finally started crawling a week ago.  My kids take forever to crawl and the helmet made it even more difficult for him.

AND as of last Wednesday we are helmet free!  I love snuggling in on him.  The poor kid is suffering from snuggle overload right now.  I can't help myself.

Any milestones you want to share?  Go ahead and brag.  I'd love to hear it.  Hope you're having a great weekend.  Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Congratulations!! :-)

All the photos are cute, but I have to tell you that top photo is just darling! Love it!

Hope your potty train doesn't derail.

  2. So adorable! Yay on loosing the helmet!

My son decided to stop using diapers at 29 months and it was GREAT, I hated having two kids in diapers. He stopped using pull-ups at 31 months. SO proud of my boy. My little girl just turned one and no walking yet... but hopefully soon!

    Have a great week.

  4. Yay for no diapers and helmet! H decided this week that he would find his balance while sitting up! That's it on our end for this week :)

  5. Terrific milestones and lovely photos. Although my 2-soon-to-be-3 year old is potty trained during the day, she sometimes wets herself during the night if she's too deep in sleep. Our household has not experienced any milestones this week. Perhaps next week. Wishing you and yours a wonderful week ahead.

Mine - finished 13 years of homeschooling, my son has now graduated high school and has 4 semester of community college under his belt AND he turns 18 in a week!!! Guess those aren't so much MY milestones.

  8. My oldest is 2 since April and we started potty training. He did great and then suddenly he stopped wanting to go to the potty. So we are taking a potty brake and will try again in 2 weeks. I will be so happy when he will be diaper free. My youngest is 3 and a half months old and has now started to roll it´s great but now he is really wanting to do so much more and gets frustrated easy. He was so laid back the first 3 months.

And Yay for no helmet and fewer diapers to change!

  12. Wow! My son is finally potty trained this week too! I was thinking "Ha, Ha, I know how that is." as I read that your next just started crawling. Mine too (pulling himself with his arms). He's all over now! I'm so tempted to put a Swiffer cloth on his tummy and let him do the cleaning!

  14. My four year old son just started writing letters this last week or so! Very exciting. He did it all by himself - hasn't shown any interest before and then just up and copied something his sister had written. Not a baby milestone but one he was excited about anyway.

  15. So glad that you are helmet free! I would be snuggling, too!

Adam is speaking in sentences! His first 4 word sentence was last week: I wike pay bah. (I like play ball) and he has been going nonstop since then! I love it!

  16. Oh my gosh! They are so cute! My kids were *this* close to wearing helmets so I feel for ya! We went and visited preschool (for next year) and one of my little guys was right into what teacher was saying - twas a milestone that brought a tear to the eye :) Take care!
