Sunshine Sunday - looking back

Sometimes I like to go into my photo files and look back a year.  It's amazing how much happens in one year.  This is Baden about a year ago.  Now he's trying to run and play with his brother.  Yikes!  That was a fast year.

While Rex doesn't look much different he's changed a lot as well.  His ability to communicate has increased a lot (which sometimes is a blessing and sometimes is a curse :)

Looking back helps me remember how fast time is going and how much faster it's going to go.  It helps me appreciate the "now" more.  Can you believe how much has happened in your last year?  What was the biggest thing for you?

  1. This last year flew by for me as well and is serving as a timely reminder to try and enjoy time with those closest to me. And I mean really enjoy and focus on it. Our biggest thing was moving to a new country (this one) just a few months ago. I am loving the USA. Now I will have access to all those wonderful craft and sewing shops!

  2. Oh my goodness, it is hard to pick just one big thing! New baby, moving back to my home state, new home, new job for the Mister, 2 new nieces in our family. It has been a wonderful year and it is amazing how much can happen in 12 short months.

  3. Not as much as Kim there, but my second child was born September 22, 2009. So I am also doing a lot of looking back right now! My first child just started kindergarten; and other than that, no major upheavals, thank goodness. Oh, and I started to sew, which is how I found you and all the other fantastic mom-sewer-bloggers.

  4. I guess my big thing from the last year was slipping on ice and breaking my leg 2 days before Christmas. Many months and 2 operations later I feel I am finally through it and can go back to caring for my family.

  5. 12 months ago my son was 3 months old! He is a completely different person now. Running, kissing, saying "no" constantly; oh my, it went by so quickly.

  6. For us it has been a mixed year of joys and sorrows. In the past year I became a stay at home mom, I decide to home school my oldest son, my youngest son got baptised, and my grandfather passed away... I love how much more grown up my kids have gotten too...my oldest 2 are turning into teenagers, and my youngest started 1st grade :0)

  7. At the beginning or each month I set our computer's screen saver to play a slide show of the same month one year ago. It's fun to look back and see what we do that is the same and different. It also reminds me of things I'm forgetting to do (like my poor kids didn't play in the sprinklers even once this summer!)

  9. Things do go by fast. Last year at this time, I was planning my oldests first birthday party and I was still pregnant. Now, I am planning his second birthday party and the twins are 8 months old. This year has flown and I wouldn't change it for the world. We are moving here in the next 2 weeks in with my inlaws so that will be a test of patience and strength!

  10. It's nice to see time is passing quickly for someone else as well! Last year I was a carefree high school junior, just living and having a blast. Then, BAM! I'm a senior, I'm going to singles ward, I'm auditioning for colleges and jobs, I'm an "adult." It's crazy to think about! But, at least I've still got time to grow I suppose :)
