Sunshine Sunday - Halloween

Having kids definitely makes me love Halloween all over again.  I get excited when we're trick or treating and I see that the house has good candy.  I get excited when another boy admires Rex's sweet Wolverine costume.  I get excited when the boys pour out their loot at the end of the night.

I used to save my candy and make it last way longer than any of my sisters.  Then I'd keep a tally sheet on what I had to make sure they weren't stealing any.  Yeah, I've pretty much always been uptight :)

Anyhow, Rex got to sport his costume at school.  Since masks aren't allowed at school we did the full Wolverine hair-do.  Pretty cool, if I do say so myself.  Now I can give this boy a much needed haircut.

This is how he felt about his look.

Next up, Baden.  I went to put him in his Gnome costume on Friday.  It was a 2T-3T and Baden is 17 months.  Couldn't squeeze him into it for the life of me.  I probably should have tried it on sooner, but I figured the size would easily be big enough.  Instead we borrowed a skunk costume from my sister.  I thought it ended up being equally as cute.

Wolverine got the chance to practice lots of cool moves all night.  He was pretty much on top of the world.

And my little stinker was really fun to snuggle.

Hope you all had a great Halloween weekend.  See you tomorrow with the start of Refashionista!

  1. They look adorable. My boys are going to be jealous of Rex's sweet costume. They love Wolverine too. Happy Halloween!

  2. So cute! I bet he was snuggly. :) I can't wait for refashionista...I roared on my blog about it for you. I am thinking I am going to refashion some vintage paper and fabric...a little twist...but we'll see what happens. :)

  3. So sweet! They both look so adorable!

  4. You weren't the only one with gnome issues. I bought the same gnome costume at Target for my (admittedly huge) 7-month-old. He was too tall for the 12-24 month size! We also discovered this at the last minute. We just used the hat, beard and booties and improvised on the rest of his outfit. You little ones looked adorable; that skunk costume is hilarious!

  5. My nephew was pulling out all his "moves" as a ninja for our little party last night, I tried to tell him ninjas are super sneaky and quiet and that's what makes them ninjas but sadly it only worked for about five seconds. It's hard to resist the urge to compete with the volume level of the dragon/dinosaur (mine, and possibly the loudest, no small feat) the cowgirl, the bee, the hockey player, and the other cowgirl. My husband has renewed his pledge to never have more than two children. Despite growing up in a family of 7 kids, 5 rowdy cousins/siblings +1 extra kid gives him a nervous breakdown. hehehe

  6. One of my guys was pointing to Rex saying "it's spiderman!" He doesnt quite have his superheros down yet. :P Happy Halloween!

  7. The boys look great but I LOVE that the skunk costume shows Bade's sweet face! Wolverine looks like tough stuff!!!

  8. It's SNOWING where you live? Wow.

Cute pictures! I just found your blog and I think it's great!

  9. I love this!! how cute!! feel free to link it up to my HALLOWEEN COSTUME party going on now!!! there will be a prize for the top three costumes :)

  10. Snow!!! I'm so jealous.

  11. Hope you had a great Halloween with the kiddos. Both them looked super cute. I have to say, I love Rex's hair...don't cut it :)

  12. Baden looks so cute in that skunk costume. Rex showed off his moves alright, what fun!
