Sunshine Sunday - dinner, life with a superhero, and you

I am grateful for a lot of things this week.  On Monday my mom stopped by with this.  It was a pan of her tasty lasagna.  She made me an extra pan so I didn't have to make dinner.  I hate making dinner.  I wish I didn't hate it, but I do.  So, this little pan totally made my day.  I think my dad had something to do with the typed instructions.  (He loves his computer and he's very efficient.)  Or, maybe they just think I'm a moron.  Either way it was awesome :)

As you know, I am the mother of Super Rex.  While that comes with a lot of drama at times, it also comes with plenty of laughs.  He makes me wait to push the garage door opener until he's right by the garage.  That way it looks like he's lifting it up with his super strength.  Love that little guy.

Lastly, I am so grateful for all of you.  I would post a mirror if I could.  This week has been the most amazing week of blogging I've ever had.  I have been so touched by your stories and donations to Japan.  After posting the Tohoku Tote and offering it free to those who made a donation my mailbox got flooded.  To be honest, I got a bit emotional everytime I checked it.  I've already received about 250 pattern requests and most of you are donating far more than the requested amount.  The orders haven't stopped either.  Wow.  It feels so good to see what we can do when we pull together.  Thank you for your kindness and generosity.  Thank you for being here, too.

Kids are such fun! He came up with that idea himself? Too cute!

I wish I lived next door to you. I love making dinner and would love to cook for you! Actually, it sounds like I need to live close to the other commenters as well?! :)

Think positive: maybe your dad thought your husband might heat it up for you and would need some directions.
I am not a fan of cooking dinner, either.

Love your "moron" comment.

Superheros are the best:)

And that is so great and INCREDIBLE about the purse response!!! Yea!

I'm so psyched over how well your purse thing is going, that's awesome. I am making donations here and there but I knew I would never get around to making the purse, despite its extreme cuteness, as I have a few bags lined up to make that I also have not make.
Rex makes me smile.
Also, I am right in there with your dad, I had the sads the other day because I made a meal for somebody and I was so crazy that day that I didn't have time to type anything up. Just a pieplate covered in tin foil and filled with quiche.
I'm pretty sure my friends already know I'm a raving lunatic so I shamelessly create prints that look like digital scrapbooking and a menu had a baby, giving names to the food to make it sound cooler.

I am with you, I hate making dinner or any kind of food for that matter!!! I wish my mom was so closed. I would love to have a super hero in my house, seems like lots of fun, I currently have two princesses which it is fun too but drama drama!!!! Thank you for being such a good samaritan!

I HATE cooking dinner, too! I have been so sick all week and my sweet mom has been sending over food for us...what a blessing (esp. her homemade chicken noodle soup!) What would this world be without moms?!?

My 17 year old son used to be really into Star Wars when he was around Rex's age. He LOVED to "use the force" to open the (automatic!) doors at the grocery store. Thanks for bringing back that memory and for sharing your cute little guys with us! :)

the moron comment made me totally laugh. but yay for dinner you don't have to prepare!

our resident superheros like to "ride" the garage door as it opens. they hang onto the bottom lip just until their feet lift off, then let go. i know, i shouldn't admit to letting them do that. but if i wasn't so afraid my weight would break the thing, i'd totally join them!
