Sunshine Sunday - quiet time with my man

My husband has been working really long hours lately.  On top of that we've both been a little under the weather and my kids have been a bit challenging.  I am SO grateful this week for the tiny, quiet moments my husband and I have together.

One of my favorite things we occasionally do together is to have a little herbal tea together before bed.  I caught our reflection in the window as we were talking the other night and I thought it would be cool to get a picture of it.

Don't find filthy window.  Just enjoy the quiet peacefulness.  It only lasts for a little while you know :)  Here's another night.  (Yes, that's a monkey sleeper I'm wearing in case you were wondering.)

I am thankful for silence, herbal tea, my best friend, and bed time.

Thanks for reading.

I am going to be living for the moments like that shortly after a newest and first one is born! I love the fact that you took those pics! So adorable!

Enjoy your Sunday!

Love those quiet moments. They don't last long enough sometimes. :)

That's why we've always been sure to have our kid's in bed really early. Even if we're stressed and tired, if we have the kids in bed by 7:30, we have enough time to sit and talk.

mmmmmmm, bedtime. bedtime is my favourite. It's why I'm not a midnight crafter. I can't sacrifice precious time with my precious pillow. Also, I get up sometime between 5 and 7 so if I was up until 2am crafting... that's not very fun math.

My hubby and I like to unwind by cuddling together in our bed with cheese and crackers and a movie on the laptop. If you're careful then mostly the crummies stay on top of the covers and you can brush them off, haha. Otherwise, we like to play Uno.

The peacefulness sounds wonderful. Life just gets too busy sometimes.

I am jealous! My hubby has had some long hours lately too, plus he travels a lot for work. I love my son but I am NOT found of the single mom thing. Today I am thankful that I get to raise my son with my best friend and the love of my life. Cheers to getting some alone time with your special man. :-)

I love how you can see the trees from outside, but it appears more that they are IN your house and totally whimsical. :) Fun moments.

That sounds like a fabulous nighttime tradition. The hubs and I need something like that (when he's actually in town, that is. :)

I'm so with you on extra work time! Whew. It's rough. Hang in there! (I am now giving myself this same peptalk-- 7 days of no hubby down, 3 to go. . . breathe, breathe :)

That's very cool.I was thinking it looks like an antique mirror and I love that really interesting effect of the chandelier and the bare trees on either side of the frame.
