Beautiful Hairstyle Links

Before we get started today I wanted to remind you that today is the last day for the Silhouette promotion.  Read more about it HERE.  Use the code "ROAR" for the discounts.

Today I thought I'd share some fun links I found as I searched for hair ideas over the past month.  Last year when I tried to find extra ideas for Hair Week I couldn't find any sites.  This year there seem to be a lot more resources and ideas.  I've found a lot of ideas I've started trying and some I still want to try.  Here's a high ballerina bun I tried today.  You'll see it's one of the tutorials below.

I found a new site by Lauren Conrad, Kristin Ess and Amy Nadine called the Beauty Department.  (You might remember Lauren from the MTV series, "The Hills.")  Anyhow, the site is pretty new but it already has a few fun hair tutorials on it.

You can find the "Twisted Sister" HERE.

The "Modern Bride" is HERE.

Lastly, the Ballerina Bun is HERE.  (That's the one I did above.  Warning: This may seem silly, but if you wear a bun high on your head you might end up bumping into a lot ot things that day because you're a bit taller than normal.  No joke.  I bumped my bun on everything.  Funny, huh?)

Another pretty site I found that has a few hair tutorials is A Cup of Jo.  I've seen the "milkmaid" braided look a lot, but I really like how she pinned them closer to her hairline, like a crown.  In fact she calls it a Braided Crown and you can find her tutorial HERE.  My hair isn't quite long enough for this one yet.  Bummer.

Lastly, this one has been pinned like crazy on Pinterest, but it's just so pretty not to include.  You can find this side chignon tutorial HERE at This is Glamorous.

Now I know that pretty much all of these are for longer hair, but we will have some short hair fun on Friday.  Hang in there short-haired beauties!  See you tomorrow....with another fun special guest.  Thanks for dropping in.

  1. The high bun is great. My hair isn't quite long enough yet for a good bun, but I will keep it in mind for the future. Looking forward to seeing what you have for shorter hair. I was so happy yesterday as I tried the knotted style that you featured. It didn't come out as nice, but it still looked cute!!

  2. Your bun looks great! My hair is long enough but its so straight and thin that my buns always look sort of pathetic. I need to go to your links and figure out how to make it work for me!

And I laughed about your "I bumped my bun on everything." because I'm 32 weeks pregnant and I keep saying that about the bun in my oven!
