Feature Friday - beaded bracelets

We'll see more of Cassie's house next week.  Today's a regular Feature Friday and before we start let's announce the winner of the Black and Decker Steam Mop.  Wow.  You guys had some amazingly messy stories to tell!  Some of them were hindsight only, I'm sure.

Our random winner is Chelle who said: We have lots of big messes around here, but I think the place that would benefit most from this steam mop would be the floor in my salon. All that dried on hair product stuck to the floor. So hard to get clean.

Send me an e-mail Chelle and I'll hook you up.

Let's get on to today's feature Friday.  I have the cutest friend who's 14 and she even has her own blog HERE.  She came over a few weeks ago and showed me how to make these bracelets.  Since she doesn't have a tutorial for it on her blog, I tried to find a tutorial for it elsewhere so you can learn how if you want to.

I've seen bracelets like this in a lot of hip stores.  After I got the hang of it I made this one.  I made it a little longer so it wrapped 4 times around my wrist.  They are fun to make.  I taught my mom and she made the cutest one with leaf-shaped beads.  (Sorry, no picture.)

If you want to make one, I found a similiar tutorial HERE and HERE.  They do it a little differently, but it'll look pretty much the same.

That's it for today.  Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Those are wonderful and they look really easy. I'm going to try it this weekend!

  4. Very neat! I'd love to try it with pearly beads and gold leather, just because I pretty much only wear gold or wood jewelry.

  12. I've made a few of these! I will give you a quick tip, do not make one with seed beads or you will hate yourself. Even just going once around the wrist of a four year old. I should be whipped for even thinking that was a good plan. However... it did look adorable, and she loved it.
