Sunshine Sunday - chip clips, bike riding, and a hot date

We had a pretty good week around here.  I crossed a couple of things off my list!  When I saw one of my sisters this week she pulled these out of her bag and threw them my way.  Ha!  She's awesome.  It made me laugh.  I also bought some clothespins like a few of you suggested.  (Duh!  Why didn't I think of that before? :)

This one's a bit bigger.  Yesterday WE TAUGHT REX HOW TO RIDE A BIKE!!!  He rocked it!  Everytime I saw him riding around yesterday and got the happy giggles.  He looks so cute on his tiny bike.  Here's a sneak peek.

And, on top of that we actually got a date night last night!

I secretly took pictures with my iPhone while he was driving.

There were a lot of victories this week.  We solved the washing machine dilemma (so thanks for your input), Rex started preschool (which gave me some nice downtime with just Baden), we helped Cassie rip out her yard (because it was out of control from the previous owner), and I even got to the dentist like I've been meaning to for too long.  Wahoo!

Did you have any little victories this week?  Feel free to share.  Thanks for reading.

Yay for teaching Rex how to ride a bike. That's awesome! My small victory for this week was finishing a beanbag chair.

Yay for Rex! Another cheap option for chip clips is to cut the clippy part off of the plastic hangers that kids' pants hang on at the store. They'll usually give them to you if you ask.

I love those fun and productive kinda weeks. My kids go back to school in a few weeks. They will be gone together, so this mommy is going to get some free time and I am hoping to get some this done. fingers crossed:)

"Little Victories" really sums it up doesn't it! I too have had a little victories kind of week, involving my garden, housework and little fixes around the house. Very satisfying!

My sister saw you on your date night last night. She said it was like seeing a celebrity. She wanted to say hi, but was too shy.

That's so awesome! Sounds like a really good week. It's nice how those show up after some obstacles. :)

I cannot believe he is riding a bike already! He seems so young! :) Your son is a bicycle genius! Heehee...How fun! Congrats on your great week! My small victory has to do with paying off a large chunk of our credit card! We've really rearranged our finances this year. Hopefully, we'll be debt free by the end of the 2011!

Some victories are measured in tangible quantites; others, just the mere fact of seeing another sunrise is a victory. If you're lucky like I have been, you've seen both.

Congrats on the solo bike riding lesson! I imagine it feels just this side of learning to drive a car.

A productive week is very energising. I love the photo of the 2 of you from date night - very cute and very much like you are on a date.

Yahooo on teaching REX to ride a bike. It is a great feeling but they seem to grow up so fast once they can ride their bikes.

Tanks for sharing.

You should add to your list of victories that you got a good photo of your husband smiling :) My victories include getting my children to the dentist, hubby fixing the dishwasher and mailing all our homeschool documents off to the local school system.
