Feature Friday - All About Utah

Do you have a friend who always has the latest scoop about the best stores, latest products, best restaurants, and every other bit of information you can think of?  I have a sister like that.  Her name is Aleca, but you can call her Leca.  Leca moved to Utah about six months ago (yahoo!) and somehow she already knows the hot spots a billion times better than I do.  I can never tell her about any place or product because she already knows.  Seriously.

So, a little over a month ago I started thinking about how great it would be if she started a blog about Utah.  When you want to find great stores or restaurants it's SO nice to get a heads up so you can know what the prices are like, see what the building looks like, and get the inside scoop from someone who knows.  You need information.  You need Leca.........

I am SO excited to tell you about her new project, All About Utah.  If you are in Utah I recommend that you head over and start following her.  Then you can be the one your friends get tips from.  She tells you everything you need to know about a place and she tells it to you from a mother's perspective.

She'll tell you about the walkers the ice skating rink has for young kids and how you have to get there early to snatch one.  She'll tell you about the sneaky place to park at Temple Square.  She'll tell you how to try out skiing without spending hardly anything.

She's been putting the blog together for the last few weeks before officially launching it today.  That means you're not stopping over to read just one post.  She's got at least ten up already and many more to come.  Want her to review a specific place for you?  Drop her an email.

We recently visited a kitchen-type store called Orsen H. Gygi.  Oh my goodness!  I can't believe I had never been there.  This picture is just the aisle with candy molds.  I'm not even much of a cook or baker, but that store was INCREDIBLE.  I got some stuff there that I'm going to be using in an upcoming project.  Stay tuned!  Read Leca's review of it HERE.

So, if you don't live in Utah I'm sorry to show you all this fun stuff.  If you do live in Utah, then head on over and say hi to my sis.  You'll make her day.  AND, the word on the street is that she's launching the blog with a Cafe Rio gift card giveaway HERE.  Yum!

Thanks for dropping in.

  4. I love Orson Gygi. I lived in Utah for 10 years before I found out it existed. I don't live in Utah anymore, but travel there frequently for work and to see family. I come home with something from Orson Gygi every time.

  6. Is there anything your family can't do!? :) I have loved your blog forever. I just purchased one of your momma's patterns (for the doll carrier, my daughter is going to be so excited!) and now I'm loving this idea! I've lived in Utah all my life, but I just moved to Utah county 4 months ago and have no idea what there is to do here so I'm excited to try some of her suggestions! Thanks!
