Sunshine Sunday - sledding, scowls, and Saturdays

Rex has been counting down the days till his preschool's sledding day.  We haven't had a lot of snow this year and he's been wanting to sled so badly.  Then on Tuesday we finally woke up to snow.  His sledding day wasn't until Friday and I thought the snow might melt before then, so my friend and I took the boys sledding that morning.  We got fresh, untouched snow all to ourselves...and it melted by Friday so the preschool sledding day was cancelled.  I was really glad we went.

Rex made a snow angel.  Baden didn't really like the snow to come in contact with him in any way :)

Baden has hit the I-think-chapstick-is-the-coolest-thing-in-the-world phase.  He is a funny kid.  If you didn't know him you'd think he was the crankiest kid in the world because his face looks like this so often.    He's actually so much fun and pretty easy-going.  It's like his my sweet little secret.

Lastly, I'm grateful for Saturdays.  My favorites are the ones when we don't have a lot of plans.  Yesterday we got to go out for my husband's birthday.  I really got lucky when I married him.  He is so supportive and such a good friend to me.

I have some projects I'm excited to share with you this week AND I'm giving something fun away tomorrow.  See you then.  Thanks for reading.

He does look like a grumpy little peanut, that's too funny. Looks like they had a fun time! It makes ME want to go sledding!

Love seeing your cute little boys. Happy Birthday to your husband! We have had the same problem with snow out here in DC. We have only gotten 2 inches and even then it was the icy yucky snow that you can't possibly sled on. We got some snow late last night, but this morning it is all gone. Boo hoo!

If you're looking for sledding hills, you can check out http://tobogganhills.com/ for a map of local hills, and also add hills to the map for others to locate and enjoy. Many sleds will thank you! :)
