Sunshine Sunday - YOU and a week with the fan

Do you ever feel like words are so inadequate for what you feel?  I have been overwhelmed with gratitude this week.  I am SO thankful for all of you readers and your support.  I was so excited when you got excited for me about Martha.  I was so thankful to have your input on my upcoming goals and projects.  AND I was seriously amazed by your support and kind words when I talked about adding advertisements.  I got really emotional as I read your comments.  Thank you SO much for helping me out this week.  I am so lucky to have your friendship and support.  I wish I could just hug all of you!

It was also really nice to slow down and have some time with my husband home.  We did a couple of fun things with the boys and even got out on a date.

1) My husband's bet is over and he shaved the 'stache.  Woo-hoo!

2) We took the boys swimming and the boys and I left our bracelets on all week to remember how much fun we had.  (I always used to leave those on as a kid and it was fun to do that with my boys.)

3) We went bowling.  It was so funny to see Rex's tiny, skinny body throw the ball as hard as he could and watch it roll for ten minutes until it finally reached the pins :)

4) Baden loves any occasion where there's fry sauce.  (If you don't live in Utah, fry sauce is basically ketchup and mayo mixed and they have it everywhere here.)  Mr. Fry Sauce now weighs the EXACT SAME as his brother even though they are 2 years apart!  Wow.

I am so excited about the New Year.....new experiences, challenges, opportunities, lessons to learn, and fun to be had.  Happy New Years!  Thank you SO much for joining me this year.  Here's to another year of friendship and projects :)  See you tomorrow.

  1. The thankfulness really beams up from this post. Happy new year to you, Cheri! Love to read and know you're having great time with your family.

  2. i just introduced my 2.5 year old to fry sauce. we lived in utah (slc) for a year and it's one of the things we took from the experience...

  3. HaPPy New YEaR to you and yours too! Lets make it a good one:)

  4. I live in Florida and have never heard of fry sauce but I always mix my ketchup and mayo together to dip my fries in.. lol. Happy New Year!

  5. FRY SAUCE! Oh how I miss that stuff. I'm thinking that I am going to mix some up, bottle it and market it out here. I would make a fortune! No one has ever heard of it and everyone that I introduce it to, loves it! Happy New Year Cheri! :)

  6. hey! we call that there sauce 'metchup'! (mayonaise and ketchup)

Lovely little post - am thrilled for your martha news - how exciting.

hope 2012 is full of memory making days and adventures...fee x

  7. Love that the fry sauce kid weighs the same as his brother. My girls, almost 5 and almost 3 weigh about 5 pounds different.
Crazy how kids are so different, but can be so close.

  8. Have a happy new year, too!
I love fry sauce, but sadly no one down here in Arizona knows what it is or likes it, except for the people at In n Out burger, and they don't know how to make it. What's ironic is all my cousins in Utah don't like it... How sad! =]

  9. Mmm, must try fry sauce!

My boys are 23 months apart and also weigh the same. My oldest is so delicate and birdlike, while his younger brother is absolutely solid.

  10. Bahaha :) I love that your boys weigh the same! And I have been thinking about you being on Martha all week long, just every time I think about Martha or crafting or tv... I feel like one of my very best friends will be on the show, although you don't even know who I am. :)

  11. Hi this is so neat! How tall are the letters & what font? Thanks
