For the Love - Auction 1

Yay!  Today is the day I've been waiting for.  It's the first day of "For the Love."  (If you need a refresher, you can read the whole explanation HERE.)  In short, we'll auction off a beautiful item each Monday of the summer from a talented blogger.  The proceeds will go to a great cause and you'll find some new blogs to follow along the way.

Since I last mentioned For the Love, I decided on the cause to support.  I found something that I felt was perfect.  You can read about our cause right HERE if you haven't seen the post yet.  I think you'll fall in love with Owen just like I did.

Today's auction item comes from Rachel at Nest Full of Eggs.

Here's Rachel and her family :)

Rachel sews, knits, paper crafts, and photographs.  The girl has mad skills.  She has generously donated this gorgeous purple dress to kick off our series here.

Dress details:  Here is a party dress for the little girl in your life! This Purple Rose Party Dress is in a vibrant purple color with lots of texture that will catch everyone's eyes.

It is a sleeveless drop waist dress with a circle skirt and a v-neck back. Bias tape trim is used for the hem on the circle skirt, the 2 arm holes and around the neckline.

There is an invisible zipper and hook and eye closure in the back.

The sash which is attached at the sides of the bodice ties in the front. It comes in size 4 (best fit for a tall and slender girl). The finished measurements are: chest 24", waist 24", shoulder to bottom hem 24".

Want to make your own?  You can find Rachel's tutorial HERE.
Her tutorial is extremely thorough and easy to follow.

Want to see what else Rachel is up to?  Check out this DIY Painted Chandelier.  It is such a fun detail for a little girl's room.

Rachel is super creative.  Look at this octopus hoodie she made for her octopus-loving son.  Find the details HERE.

Now, if you'd like to bid on the Purple Rose Party Dress you may do so in the comment section.  Please make sure I have a way to contact you, in case you win the auction.

The bidding will be open until next Monday.  Thank you, Rachel, for donating your gorgeous creation.

Can I ask one favor before you go?  I would LOVE your help spreading the word about "For the Love." The more people we can involve, the more we can raise.  Feel free to grab the "For the Love" image above and tell your friends.

Thanks for reading.
