Sunshine Sunday - the flu, friends, and fathers

This little guy had the flu this week.  It came out of nowhere.  In fact, we were driving to the store when it hit him.  He was a trooper though and he's all better.  Being sick or taking care of someone who is sick sure is a reminder to be grateful for your health.

After we got home Rex surprised me a bit.  He walked Baden over to the couch and turned on a show for him.  Then he ran and got him a pitcher.  "If you have to throw up again Baden, you throw up into this," he said as he set Baden all up.  Watching my boys be friends and help one another is one of the greatest joys ever.

Today I am also grateful for good fathers in my life.  I have been SO lucky to be surrounded by great fathers in my life.  My own dad, my father-in-law, and my husband are all I could ever ask for.

We're keeping up the tradition and making a little father's day video like we did last year.  The boys were really crazy the day we made the video and I started to loose a little patience, but it's reality.  Happy Father's Day Mr. Roar.

I hope you all have a great day.  See you tomorrow.  Thanks for reading.

  2. Awesome! It kind of reminds of how I have to be when I take pictures of my boys. "Sit up! Put your hands down! Smile! Look at the camera!" :-)

  7. My boys are about the same age apart as yours - 4 and 2. My oldest is a great big brother, always kissing my youngests boo-boos and making sure he's ok! I also love seeing their friendship grow!! Love all your posts!

  8. Adorable! I'm not even sure I could get my little guy to sit still for that long. Let alone a rollie pollie? Ha ha...I'd be toast! Your boys are super cute and they will treasure these videos when they are older. Happy Father's Day Mr. Roar!
