A few weeks ago I shared a couple of color palettes I created using Chip It! and was thinking of using to make over our master bedroom. I was debating between these:
Well, as some of you mentioned, Mr. Roar probably wouldn't be fond of pink in our bedroom. However, if I ever have a little girl, I will totally use that color scheme in her nursery. It's my recent favorite color combo.
I went with the second palette and was thrilled when I found these fun chairs for a crazy-low price the other day. They were a good match and a great starting point for the room. (If the colors look a bit dull it's because the photo was taken with my phone at the store.)
I also found this clock, which worked, as it had some "Solitude" gray from my palette.
I don't want to share too much because I want to save it all for the final reveal, but I am thrilled about this room. It looks 100% different. It's actually almost done! I have a little more art to create for the walls.
Do you need a little help or inspiration with an upcoming makeover? Add the Chip It! button to your bookmark bar and get chipping. How does it work? Just watch the Chip It! video HERE and drag the Chip It! button below to your toolbar:
It's super-duper easy and fun.

I love Chip It!I just used it to chip the painting this lady did for Miss Mustard Seed http://cindysfracturedfairytale.blogspot.com/2011/07/im-so-excited-miss-mustard-seed-posted.html
ReplyDeleteand it came up with a really pretty blue called Respite. Those gift cards would be amazing as we are in the middle of building a new house.
I love the pink/orange trend, too! And where did you find that chair? Love it, too. Would love to win the gift cards to revamp my sad little den with outdated paneling, brick (screaming to be painted white) and the world's ugliest ceiling fan (with harvest colored flowers). :)
ReplyDeleteI am interested to see which colour you make the dominant one. I would do the charcoal, but then by bedroom is painted indigo.
ReplyDeleteThat bag is FAN-Tastic!! Can inquire where it is from! I LOVE IT!!! And the color palette!!
ReplyDeleteThis is so amazing - I love Chip It! I used this image:
ReplyDeletehttp://letschipit.com/Chip/7qhAmC/
I've had it pinned for a while now, and the turquoise tones are so beautiful. I'd love to paint...um...any room in my house these colors!
I love greens in my home; they're so soothing. I could chip any beautiful water/forest scene and use it in my house I think!
ReplyDeleteI would love to reprint my main room. It is the dinning room that raps around to the family room and front entry.
ReplyDeleteMy master bedroom needs HELP! I have a comforter from Pottery Barn that I got a couple years ago that still looks new so in order to spice up my room I think I need to color the walls! Chip It will help pick a color just right! Thank you for reminding me about this Cool Tool!
ReplyDeleteI have seriously been using chip it on every pic i see online!!! right now my 2 favs are my wedding pic that was taken in jamaica and a night photography shot of cars going over a bridge. My hubby has vowed that our bedroom would get redone this summer or early fall, so this would be a huge help and I might actually get to change a few more things then the paint. I have this great idea to hang only night photography in the room. we are really only in there at night so i think it would be really fitting. thanks for the great giveaway!!! i can't wait to see your bedroom!!!
ReplyDeleteI have an old bikini that no longer fits in a gorgeous pattern that I would love to chip.
ReplyDeleteI have been chipping like crazy since your last post on the subject. I love it. I too am redoing my bedroom and Iwant to use a red and blue color scheme, so I got on pinterest and typed in "red barn" and have found a bunch that I love. Right now I'm leaning more toward barn red and ice blue, but the tool is wonderful and I can't choose yet:)
ReplyDeleteLove the color scheme! Totally feel you on the girl thing. One day... :) Thanks for the giveaway!
ReplyDeleteThose chairs are pretty spiffy! I always worry about getting furniture with patterns. I keep the big stuff neutral and go crazy with accessories.
ReplyDeleteA long time ago, before we were married, my husband bought me a bunch of prints I requested from this artist. Her work is bright and vivid but also abstract and organic.
http://www.etsy.com/listing/47541388/candy-11x14-print-sale-buy-2-get-1-free
This print is similar to the ones I own. It would be fun to chip it! I'd love to do a room in our house with bold colors like this, but DH isn't adventurous so I keep the bright stuff in my craft room. :)
I'd love to chip my bland family room! Love the orange/pink combo!
ReplyDeletegetting ready to redo my entire house- remodel, this was just what I was looking for to make decorating easier. thanks.
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun tool! Can't wait to start doing it. Need to refresh our master bedroom/bath!
ReplyDeletehttp://www.urbanoutfitters.com/urban/catalog/productdetail.jsp?id=23616717&parentid=A_DEC_BEDDING
ReplyDeletea duvet cover from urban outfitters! i heart that place!
I need to decorate a nursery for twins and this is some of my inspiration:
ReplyDeletehttp://jennicanknit.blogspot.fr/2012/06/usa-letters.html
I think chip it would definitely help me with the decor!
I see that you are using a Jessica Jones print. I adore her prints!! If you need a print that's similar to your little girl's nursery color combo, you could always go with my fave, Jessica's pink Calliope colorway in the Amusement Park collection as seen here: http://howaboutorange.blogspot.com/p/my-fabrics.html
ReplyDeleteI actually just used Chip it on the coolest photo of a vase with flowers in it. They are the blues, oranges, and yellows I am using in a room makeover!
ReplyDeleteI would love to use the chip it button to draw inspiration for our bedroom. This photo is the one I love! http://www.visualphotos.com/image/1x7053423/brightly_colored_houses_and_art_displays_caminito
ReplyDeleteI've got a super cute shirt hanging in my closet that I'm going to snap a picture of and Chip It. Super excited!
ReplyDeleteI just chipped this picture (http://pinterest.com/pin/238339005249226422/) and was very impressed with the result. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteI would use one of our many beach pictures to draw inspiration for our kitchen that needs a SERIOUS makeover!
ReplyDeleteI would chip this awesome pillow on Etsy! I love anything rainbow! :) http://www.etsy.com/listing/99349920/pillow-cover
ReplyDeleteI would love to re-do my living room! It's a bit drab. I would use a beautiful pillow that I picked up at IKEA as the inspiration. :) Thanks for the fun giveaway!
ReplyDeleteI just created a Chip It palette for our play room, based on these two vintage toys my boys just inherited from my grandfather. I tweeted it @everneveragain. Here's my colors and my pic: http://letschipit.com/Chip/diFeYC?ow=1
ReplyDeleteI would be so thrilled to win this and make over my basement! Thanks Cheri and Sherwin-Williams! I can't wait to see your big room reveal!
My master bedroom needs a makeover bad! I'd love to use the colors in my bedding!

LOVE the chair AND the clock! I can't wait to see it all together. :)
ReplyDeleteI am in the process of redecorating my house... ok, so I've been doing it for almost a year now, but that's only because of our budget allowances. But I finally made some throw pillows for our couch and it would be awesome to do a "chip it" for the fabric I used.
ReplyDeleteI would love to use chip it (and the gift cards!) to redo our bedroom!! It's in bad shape!! I'd actually like to chip the fabric I just picked up....
ReplyDeleteDaisy_Barbosa@yahoo.com
And thanks for the chance!!!
I had never heard of Chip It but now I can't wait to use it for our kitchen redo!
ReplyDeleteSo that's how that chip it thing works! We have a new house and a new baby on the way so I have plenty of uses for this tool!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing chip it! I'm looking forward to playing with this great tool!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing how to use chip it. I need to plan a color palet for my living room redo that's in progress!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I are buying our first house and so I have been getting super chippy!!! (sorry, just really excited :D)I have been chipping everything I can find and it has really help so much in creating just the right pallet that I want for each room in our new home!
ReplyDeletehttp://letschipit.com/Chip/6OtIaI
This is my favorite chip thus far!! It is actually the fabric that I am using to reupholster a set of wingback chairs for our new Living room!! Thank you chip it for helping narrow down the endless options to what will look the best and make our new house into a home!!
