Sunshine Sunday - neighbors, trains, dates, and laughs

We have this couple that lives a few minutes down the road from us and they are awesome.  I think they're in their late eighties, but they have this huge yard that they maintain so well.  They invited us over to pick some of their fruit that they weren't using.  It made me so happy to go over with the boys to pick peaches and blackberries.  There's nothing like fresh fruit from friends.  This couple is so cute together and I hope Mr. Roar and I can be like them when we get older.

We took the boys downtown to see the new mall and ride the trax.  Baden was giddy about it, which made it so fun.

Speaking of Baden, he and I got to go on a little date this week.  He picked In and Out.  It was so fun to get one on one time with him, because now that it's summer that it relatively nonexistent.

And lastly, I'm always grateful for a laugh.  Baden likes hats of any kind.  Rex did this the other day and asked it I'd take a picture and send it to aunt Cassie (who we miss a lot).  Boys will be boys.

Did you have any good laughs this week?  Don't they make everything feel better on a tough day?

I hope you're all having a great weekend.  Thanks for stopping by.

  1. He's so cute! Good ol' In&Out :-) Hope your weekend is full of laughs, too!

  2. I wanted to leave a comment to say how fun your master room looks! My favorite part is the giant spool, and now I'll have to look for those! I've seen the plastic ones with wire on them, but hope to find the wood. SO clever! Also love what you did with your anniversary date on the doors, and the big map! Well done;)

  3. Of course I love the picture of Rex but these 2 of Bade are ADORABLE!!! Cam says all the time now...I just can't wait until they come I just can't wait! And I think...you and me both kid!

  4. I love the visual of the older married couple, how sweet of them! It has been a very difficult week for my family. My husband was just diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, Cheri please keep us in your prayers please.

  5. Date night with your little one -love it! I had a date night with my 4yr old - he picked Rita's (frozen custard and water ice) It was so much fun!

  6. We do date nights too! My little guy and I usually go to the local Amish market. We both absolutely love it....not to mention the to die for delicious food!

  7. I just love reading your blog.... if I could have half of your creative side, I would be happy!
