Sunshine Sunday - trees, summer, and weekends

One of the items on our summer bucket list was for Rex to climb a tree, so we headed to a park with lots of them.

We had to explain what makes a good climbing tree.

The boy doesn't have my fears of heights (which I think I actually acquired when I fell out of a tree and broke my arm :)

He was pretty proud of himself.  I love watching my children's firsts.  It's got to be one of the best feelings in the world.

This other cautious guy finds swinging on daddy's lap a big enough risk.

I am thankful for the summer and for the weekends.

I'm also grateful to check things off my list.  We had dentist appointments, doctors appointments, and other tests this week and it was great to get all that over with.  Rex is now officially ready for kindergarten.

What were you thankful for this week?  Thanks for stopping by.

  3. I am thankful for an afternoon at the beach with my boys,we got a wetsuit for our 4 year old so he could stay in the water as long as he wanted without turning blue. The sun was out and it was wonderful, even my cold swim with no wetsuit- must get one soon, Happy Sunday from sunny Devon xx

  5. I am grateful to my Heavenly Father because right when I begin to think he isn't listening to my prayers, he sends me little reminders to assure me he is always by myside!

  6. I am thankful for my wonderful husband and the rain we finally got. My daughter fell out of tree and broke her arm as well. I think she was either 5 or 6. Love seeing pictures of your cute boys. I wish our boys could be friends in person. Maybe one day when we finally move back to Utah. :)
