Sunshine Sunday - red shoes, power tools, and ponies

I have always had a thing for red shoes.  I think I might have subconsciously passed it onto my boys.  We were out the other day and it made me smile when I noticed all of our shoes.

The bathroom explosion renovation has been in the works this week a lot.  We're still in the tearing out phase, but I'm so excited for the rebuilding phase.  We've been lucky to have help from my parents.  My dad rented an air hammer to get the cement out of the bottom of the shower, revealing even more leaking.  We've stripped everything down to the studs, removed the tub as well, and my husband started taking out the floor tiles today.

I am thankful for help....and people who know a lot more about these things than I do.

And last but not least, Baden got to ride a pony this week.  He's been begging to ride one for over a year.  He was thrilled.  He wears his little fedora backwards when we go out.  He insists that's how it's supposed to go and he's too stubborn to convince otherwise.  It kind of reminds me of Blossom when he wears it like this.  Anyone remember that show?

It's been a good week.  The autumn weather has hit and I just can't get enough of it.

What were you grateful for this week?

Thanks for reading.

  9. Aww, cute! My boys both insist on wearing Fedoras backwards. It must look strange to them to have it otherwise! I'm so sorry the bathroom stuff just keeps evolving...and not in a good way. But I bet you'll make it look gorgeous when it's done!

Red shoes - you've got to check out this site! I was recently introduced to their concept at a company meeting about customer service. Your Wake Up Wednesdays remind me of their missions of service. And I adore your blog!
