Sunshine Sunday - hot dates, legos, and cat naps

This week started out pretty rough with the boys and I both getting sick.  However, by the end of the week we were doing a lot better.  I even had a hot date Friday night.  We aren't very good about getting out together, but we have a new resolve to do so.  We had a great time.

Yesterday we visited a Lego exhibit that one of you awesome readers gave me a heads up about.  The boys really liked it.  Thanks!  Rex thought the Lego skateboard was pretty sweet.

And check these out.

The boys were talking about how the artist probably just builds Legos ALL day, only breaking for lunch.  I'm pretty sure it sounds like a good job to them.

My little guys don't really fall asleep anywhere these days, but when they do I love it.  There's something so innocent and perfect about seeing your kids sleep.  I love peeking in on them before I go to bed every night.

Man, I love the weekends.  It's definitely the best part of the week.

I hope your weekend's been great, too.  Thanks for reading.

Yeah, it's been a rough couple of weeks for me. My 2-year-old learned how to crawl out of her crib AND open doors recently, so naps have been really infrequent. The days are so hard and long when that little break goes away. Guh....

Anyways, keep up the good work. I'm a daily reader here (have been for years!) Love your boys (hope that doesn't sound weird). If you'd like to do an arranged marriage, I have a nice little 3.5 year old who likes Legos, Marvel, and knights. You can check her out sometime at my blog.

Also, I watched that movie. Amazing stuff. I'm going to revamp our diet here too (but I have to phase out some of the stuff I have in the pantry already).

Cute Pics! It's crazy to see what people can build with Legos! It's incredible!

Getting sick is so stinky. I'm glad you are feeling better.

That lego exhibition looks amazing!

Yes, there are def really serious lego builders. It is like art/sculpting/modeling all rolled into one.

I have heard of adults having rooms dedicated to lego building with all the colours and sizes separated into different boxes so they can make these amazing creations.

Where was/is the lego exhibit? I'd love to go see them and of course, take my kids to see them too.

Yes, do you mind sharing where the lego exhibit was?! I know my boys would love to see it as well!

It was in Park City at the Kimball Art Center. It was free too! It's still there but I think it might end soon.
