Sunshine Sunday - a new week to come

This week was more like the kind that makes you happiest when you know it's over.  On a good note, I got a lot done, but sometimes the more I get done the more I realize how much there still is to do and I just feel like I can't possibly do it all.  If you've emailed me in the past few months and I haven't responded, I am very sorry.  I'm way backed up there as well, but I'm trying.  My husband got the flu yesterday.  I'm hoping none of us get it, but only time will tell.  Blah, blah, blah.  On with the more uplifting stuff.

The other night I left the boys in the tub with the jets on, at their request.  I didn't realize how the jets would multiple that little bit of shampoo that was in the tub.  I came back in a little bit and found this.  That was a close one.  The boys were having a blast, though.  (Random side note: That yellow in the water is a blow-up duck and not pee.  I promise.)

I caught a little moment after his bath where this guy was willing to smile and let me take a picture.  Oh how I love that face.

This guy found the photo booth program on my iPad and I now have hundreds of odd pictures of him. He really enjoyed it.  Most of the photos are of the ceiling or his finger.  You gotta start somewhere, right?

And the nursery is finally all painted.  Hallelujah!  More to come on that later.  I still have a couple projects to finish there.

So here's to a new week.

Thanks for stopping by.

  1. Great pictures!

  2. Ha ha, I laughed at your explanation of the yellow in the tub! My sister and I took a trip to a beach side resort quite a few years ago and put some bath gel in our jet tubs and the same thing happened - it was amazing. Hope next week goes well and no one gets flu!

  3. Praying no one else gets the flu. Is it the stomach flu? It's the only thing that I haven't gotten. I can't believe the flu is still going around and friend also has the flu.

  4. My kids love the bubbles too!!! They love to be Santa Claus. ;) Hope no one else gets the flu. That is the WORST!!

  5. amen... dear God, please let nothing monumentally awful happen this week!

  6. Your kiddos are just so cute. Love the yellow explanation--I didn't even see it at first:).

I so hear you. I sat down after putting the kids to bed and just poured out my heart in prayer tonight because I am so very overwhelmed. I feel like I have been doing so much to get the house organized and cleaned and yet there is still so much to be done (as in going through every single closet and cupboard in the whole house, multiple trips to DI, etc). Dillon will finally be home this week after being gone a month, so I'm hoping that will help ease my mind. I just pray we'll be able to prioritize the right things and let the other things be and still feel at peace. It's hard though, I'm right there with you. It is going to come so fast! And it will be so wonderful.

  7. The pics are great, your kids are beautiful! As for the rest of the stuff... "It will be OK in the end. If it is not OK, it is not the end." That is the quote I'm using to get through life right now. I'm sure it applies across the board. Hang in there.

  8. This week was one of those as well. I'm glad it's over. Lots of bad stuff happened in the world, and while my family is well it makes me sad and plays with my emotions a lot when lots of other places are suffering. I hope that this week is better--- for you, for everybody! I'm glad you got a lot done though---and I hope the rest of your family doesn't get sick too.

  9. well it is not difficult to see why you love those faces. sorry your hsb is ill. it seems that many friends have the flu and having it return or they really were not over it when they only were feeling a bit better.

  10. I have the cutest nephews ever!! I'm glad they had a great bath. You know they were clean after that one! I found Elsa the cutest 4th of July outfit and hat. So don't look for one. I can't wait to see her in it. I really can't wait to see her! Love you. X

  11. What color paint is on the walls - love it!!!
