Feature Friday - Painted Shoes

I was browsing blogs the other day when I saw this tutorial from Alisa Burke.  First of all, she and her blog are absolutely beautiful.  Alisa makes amazing things and just oozes creativity.  You'll find really unique projects from her.  Aren't these so cute?

So, I went out and even bought the same pair of shoes to try my hand at this.  Here's how mine turned out.

I picked a few colors I liked.

I painted the general colors on.

I added dots.

Then I filled in extra details with a thin sharpie.  I wanted some sassy shoes to take with me on my trip this weekend.  Yup!  The hubbie and I are in California without our kids for a couple of days!  Oh baby!  This is how my shoes look up on the railing of our balcony!  Woo-hoo!

  9. I love this idea! I think I will try it. I did paint a pair of shoes to be in a wedding once cause I only had to wear them once and I didn't want to buy new ones that crazy color. This is so much better! keep up the great work!

  19. I saw this on Alisa's blog and LOVED it. When I saw you'd had a go it inspired me to have a go at it myself, except on a scarf instead of shoes. I can't believe how easy it was.

Here is the link if you want to see how it worked on the scarf: http://snickerdoodlecreations.blogspot.com/2010/04/refashion-from-coat-to-scarf.html

    Thanks for being so inspiring!
