Silhouette Made Simple - Day 3

Today is the third day of Silhouette fun.  If you're just tuning in you might want to go back to view Day 1 and Day 2.  (Day 1 also has the giveaway on it.)

Today we're going to play with the Silhouette adhesive cardstock and regular vinyl.  Today's projects are decorative gift wrapping.....

....and these pantry labels.

I used Silhouette's adhesive cardstock for the decorative gift wrapping.

The adhesive card stock is really fun.  It would be great to have on hand if you were decorating a bulletin board or doing any scrapbooking.  Today I am using it to dress up presents.  Here's how I did it.

I carefully used the negative space for another package as well.

Next up are the labels.  Labels are one of my favorites things to make with my Silhouette.  Here's an easy way to make them all the same size and get them cut quickly.  This tutorial includes a demonstration of how to use transfer tape.  (Remember that you can click on You Tube below and then watch the videos bigger there.)

And just because everyone loves a before and after.  Here was my pantry before I organized it and made labels. It was cluttered and chaotic.

And here's what it looks like now.  Ah!  The bins were less than $3 and the labels make it so that my husband knows where to find things as well.

Alright!  Tomorrow we have a little more Silhouette fun.  I hope you've been enjoying this little series.  Thanks for reading.

Hmmm, I wonder if I can convince DH that I need a silhouette in order to organize our pantry. Think that would work??

I love that Rex helped video tape, it was really quite comical. Thanks for showing the transfer tape thing, I was so confused on how that would work.

This is awesome. I see a future hero videographer! I use just plain contact paper as transfer paper. Thanks!

Where can I purchase the Joy file?

Never mind my last comment about the Joy file. I found it easily in the Silhouette library. Can you tell me type of file it is so that I can determine if I will be able to cut it on my Pazzles with Sure Cuts a Lot software. Thanks for your help.
