"I Deliver" tee

Baden starts his first day of preschool tomorrow and I remembered that when Rex had his first day I made him a special t-shirt HERE.  So, it's Bade's turn.  I tried to think of things he's into.  He loves riding his trike around the house pretending he's a delivery truck driver.  So, here's what I came up with.

I cut the freezer paper stencil on my Silhouette, but you could do it by hand with a craft knife.  (For a video tutorial of freezer paper stenciling you can go HERE.  For a tutorial on cutting freezer paper with the Silhouette you can go HERE.)

I ironed the stencil to the shirt (shiny side down).

I painted the shirt with my Tulip soft fabric paints.  If you haven't used these before you should get your hands on some.  They are inexpensive and awesome.  They are my favorite.

Then I peeled off the stencil, waited for the shirt to dry, and found my little delivery man to try it on.

He gave it two thumbs up and he's ready to wear it on his big day.

I just love making one-of-a-kind tees for my little guys.

Thanks for reading.

- Cutest change purse ever and it's includes a tutorial HERE.

- Right now you can get $50 of vinyl designs from Say It on the Wall for $25 at Groupon HERE.  That's the store that sells my "Grass is Always Greener " sign HERE.  You could get two signs for $25 and make 2 easy Christmas gifts.  Today is the last day of the deal.

What a cute shirt! When I read the title of the post I have to admit that I thought it was a shirt for moms, like a labor and delivery thing. Ha! I deliver. It must be a two cups of coffee kind of day over here.

You must be excited for both boys to be in school! I've got one more year before that :) But the thought of it makes me giddy :) Bad mom I know!

This is so great! I have a truck obsessed one right now too! I checked out your other son's shirt too, what a great sleeve detail idea! Our Walmarts are reaaallly sketchy around here but these blank tees almost make think about taking a trip in. I haven't found anything with this weight and texture elsewhere.

Hope he has a great first day!

Cheri, your little guy shirts are just so inspiring and so. darn. cute. I refer to them all the time for inspiration and am so thankful you take the time to share them. Thank you!!!! (I used your Avengers shirt recently as part of a swap - once I hear that they received the shirts and get some pics I'll blog and send you a link.).

Thank you for this great inspiration - and ~ko, your comment CRACKED me up! I deliver. Hee. If ever I'm lucky enough to have another baby I'm TOTALLY making that as a maternity shirt.

Did I read correctly from another comment that the blank tees are from Walmart? It looks so thick and comfy! The ones from the craft store are always so thin.

Super cute job! So wish I had a silhouette.

I saw the cutest Halloween costume a couple of years ago at a party. The little guy was wearing khaki shorts and the same color of khaki shirt. The mom sewed a "UPS" logo to the back, the kid's name on the front left (like you did for the boys already!), khaki hat stenciled with "UPS", black shoes and brown socks and he was pulling around a really light weight dolly stacked with empty boxes. Baden might love this for halloween!

Cute design (and kid)! Where did you get the tee-shirt? I'm trying to find some blank shirts for my driver and I'm not having any luck.

I always find them on the shelves at Wal-mart. They are $3.50 and they're great t-shirts.
