Housekeeping - Winner, Blog Changes, and Petal PDFs

Okay, I'm playing catch up here today.  There's a few little things we're going to get done right now.

1) The Pillow Pet winner.  First of all let me say OH MY GOODNESS!  I didn't realize every child in the world knows the Pillow Pet song and every child has a Pillow Pet on his or her Christmas list.  WOW.  Quite the response you all had.  With no further ado our random winner is.....

Danielle who said...."the puppy dog! :)"

Congrats Danielle and sorry to all of you who still have children singing the jingle.
2) I've made a few little changes on the blog here.
There's no more "Link Parties" list, since I haven't been linking anymore.  I decided to change that to "Blogs I Love."  I thought it would be fun to share with you some of the blogs I frequent.
I am also trying to go through some old posts and add more info when I learn something new or have another tip.  These addendums will be added in another color and will be at the end of the post.  So, if you're going to try a project on the blog, see if I've added any new notes or tips since then.  (For example, I have some more tips on the gripper socks.)
3) You asked for it - you got it.  My mom provided a PDF file for the petal pillow.  Since then my mom has made a new pillow and changed a couple of things.  You'll find the new info and a link to the PDF on the old post which is right HERE.
4) Refashionista Event coming in November!!!  Yeah, I'm going to tease you here a little.  I've lined up some of my favorite bloggers and we're going to do some really fun refashioning for the first two weeks in November.  I am seriously excited about it.  I just made the button for it, but you can't grab it just yet.  Here's a sneak preview, though.  We're going to make incredible things from clothing you may have considered to be hopeless, so save those old clothes and scraps.  We're going to par-tay!

Okay!  I think we're all caught up now.  Whew!  Sorry this wasn't a very exciting post, but sometimes it's good to do a little housekeeping.  See you tomorrow!  Thank you so much for reading!

  1. I'm so excited for refashionista. I have plenty of hopeless clothes that need to be put to good use.

  2. I think the refashionista is going to be great. I can't wait for some fresh new ideas. Think adding addendums to old posts is great too :)

  3. Yay! I'm excited! But I also have a question (maybe for refashionista? or a sharing Sat?)My 2 yo has a lot of hand-me-down footie pajamas, but there's a hole right at his big toe where his toe comes through and I hear a lot of "Owie!!". Is there an easy way to save the jamies?

  4. Ooh that sounds like fun! Can't wait!
